Summer Camp Stories on a Cold Winter Night
7:00 PM (America/New_York)

Summer Camp Stories on a Cold Winter Night Description:
Join us for an evening of fun and storytelling about sleep-away summer camp, complete with canteen snacks and 70s music! You won’t want to miss this opportunity to reminisce with Eric Glickman, Croton resident and author of the new book Camp Pock-a-Wocknee and the DYN-O-MITE Summer of ‘77. He’ll be joined in conversation by his brother Richie.

Camp Pock-a-Wocknee and the DYN-O-MITE Summer of ’77 is a coming-of-age graphic novel celebrating the magic, memories, and mishegas that make up summers at Jewish sleepaway camp. Mashing up a nostalgic mood similar to The Wonder Years with the teenage rambunctiousness of a Superbad, Camp Pock-a-Wocknee combines black & white, comic strip-style art with a “not-for-kids” story to capture the tension created when the innocence of childhood crashes into the messiness of adolescence.

Books will be available for purchase and signing. The event is free, but we appreciate early RSVPs to help with planning.
